Valley Cities Gas is a natural gas
distribution company, headquartered in Sayre,
Pennsylvania. It serves 6,400 customers in 11
communities within 104 square miles in Bradford County,
Pennsylvania, and Tioga County, New York, where the
company operates as Waverly Gas. The company
began in 1944 with the merger of several area companies
and was acquired by the Pennsylvania & Southern Gas
Company that same year. In 1994, Valley Cities/Waverly
Gas merged with NUI to become one of its
operating divisions.
