PECO Energy Distribution, the Company's regulated
unit, maintains a massive regional infrastructure that
safely and reliably delivers electricity and natural gas
to homes, schools, businesses and other facilities in
the Philadelphia area. It is one of the largest
distribution companies in the United States delivering
electric service to 1.5 million customers and natural
gas service to more than 400,000 customers. PECO Energy
Distribution delivers and maintains the poles, wires,
underground mains and cables, responds to emergencies,
tracks energy usage and provides monthly customer
billing.
